Description

This chart gives every star contained in the Nautical Almanac whose declination does not exceed 70 degrees North or South. The principal Navigating Stars are printed in red, whilst the various constellations are very clearly described on the margins of the chart. At the back of the chart there has been printed a table containing Navigating Stars, giving the right ascension and declination of each. A short Pronouncing Dictionary of Astrological terms is given. Tables of value to navigators, hints for Star Observers, notes on the Solar System, Symbols and Abbreviations, Names and Meanings of Planets and Constellations and Notes on Star Positions are also given.
